This is a site that is near and dear to my heart--my mother had breast cancer twice and now my 40 year old cousin has it. This site accepts donations of cell phones and other electronic devices that help women with breast cancer. http://www.recycleforbreastcancer.org
The
Breast Cancer site is having trouble getting enough people to click on their
site daily to meet their quota of donating at least one free mammogram a day
to an underprivileged woman. It takes less than a minute to go to their site
and click on "donating a mammogram" for free (pink window in the middle).
This doesn't cost you a thing. Their corporate sponsors /advertisers use the
number of daily visits to donate mammogram in exchange for advertising.
Here's the web site! Pass it along to people you know.

Although there have been advances in medical technology and donation, the demand for organ, eye and tissue donation still vastly exceeds the number of donors. For more information see the UNOS Web site. http://www.donatelife.net
A few brief statistics Kate shared:
* Almost 100,000 men, women and children currently need life-saving organ
transplants.
* Every 12 minutes another name is added to the national organ transplant
waiting list.
* An average of 18 people die each day from the lack of available organs for
transplant.
* 90% of Americans say they support donation, but only 30% know the
essential steps to take to be a donor.
Sign up to be a donor (if your religious and cultural beliefs allow it!)
